Modern brands are beginning to master a new kind of alchemy, using neuroscience and psychology to forge deeper bonds with consumers. In sectors from tech and automotive to fashion, food and beverage, wellness and everyday consumer goods, companies are deploying subtle and sometimes not so subtle strategies that appeal to our brains innate preferences and patterns. The stakes are high. Consumers today can switch brands with a swipe and traditional loyalty is in short supply.
